The Breezeway is located in the village of Misquamicut Beach, which is located in the Town of Westerly, Rhode Island. Nestled in the southwest corner of the ocean state and bordering Connecticut, we are centrally located to many of the places you want to visit.

Boston Area to the Breezeway
Take I-95 South to Exit 1. This is the last exit in Rhode Island. Turn right onto Route 3 (You’ll pass the charming village of Ashaway). Continue for approximately 4.5 miles and turn left onto Route 78 East towards the beaches (Route 78 is a one lane highway with a cement divider). At the traffic light you will cross Route 1 (Post Rd) and continue straight onto Airport Rd (Our small state airport will be on your left). Continue to the 1st stop sign and turn left onto Winnapaug Rd. Proceed straight through the next traffic light (and Rt 1A) and the Breezeway is on the right hand side. Look for the large red brick sign.

New York City Area to the Breezeway
Take I-95 North to Exit 92 (this is a Connecticut exit and this is also the exit for Foxwoods Casino). Turn right on Route 2 and (you’ll pass the Regal Cinema on the left) and continue for approximately 2 miles and turn right onto Route 78 East towards the beaches (Route 78 is a one lane highway with a cement divider). At the traffic light you will cross Route 1 (Post Rd) and continue straight onto Airport Rd (Our small state airport will be on your left). Continue to the 1st stop sign and turn left onto Winnapaug Rd. Proceed straight through the next traffic light (and Rt 1A) and the Breezeway is on the right hand side. Look for the large red brick sign.

Hartford Area to the Breezeway
Take Route 2 East (you will pass Foxwoods Casino) and turn right onto Route 78 East towards the beaches (Route 78 is a one lane highway with a cement divider). At the traffic light you will cross Route 1 (Post Rd) and continue straight onto Airport Rd (Our small state airport will be on your left). Continue to the 1st stop sign and turn left onto Winnapaug Rd. Proceed straight through the next traffic light (and Rt 1A) and the Breezeway is on the right hand side. Look for the large red brick sign.

(These directions are usually only necessary during very hot weekends or holidays)

Boston Area to the Breezeway to avoid beach traffic
Take I-95 South to Exit 1. This is the last exit in Rhode Island. Turn right onto Route 3 (You’ll pass the charming village of Ashaway). Continue on Route 3 and you will pass under Rt 78 and pass the blinking traffic light. Go straight on Rt 3 through another traffic light and the road will bend to the left. Turn right at the next traffic light onto Railroad Ave or Rt 91 (notice the Westerly Amtrak station on the right). At the stop sign make a left turn onto Canal Street and then a right turn onto High Street. Continue straight and yield to the on coming Rt 1 traffic (You’ll notice the fountain at the intersection). Merge onto Rt 1 and make an immediate left onto Beach Street or Rt 1A South (If you go straight you will go over the Pawcatuck River and into Connecticut). Continue along past the Westerly Yacht Club on the right and Beach Street turns into Watch Hill Rd but is still Rt 1A. After the road bends sharply to the left, be prepared to make a left turn onto Shore Rd which is also the continuation of 1A. Turn right onto Fisherman Ave then an immediate left onto Third St.. At the stop sign turn right onto Montauk Ave. The rear entrance to the Breezeway will be up about 1/10th of a mile on the left. You’ll notice an arched red brick sign and a marker for parking lot E. Turn in there.

New York City Area to the Breezeway to avoid beach traffic
Take I-95 North to Exit 91 (this is a Connecticut exit). At the stop sign go straight onto Pequot Trail (This is a winding country rd). At the traffic light, Pequot Trail ends. Turn left onto Rt 1 North. As you cross over the Pawcatuck River into Rhode Island you will merge onto RT 1A South or Beach Street. Continue along past the Westerly Yacht Club on the right and Beach Street turns into Watch Hill Rd but is still Rt 1A. After the road bends sharply to the left, be prepared to make a left turn onto Shore Rd (This is also the continuation of 1A). Turn right onto Fisherman Ave then an immediate left onto Third St..
